So I haven’t written in a while, I know, but I’ve been very busy.  Not sure if I’ve gone through my class days or not, and I’m too lazy to look up my other posts to find out, but my days consists of this:  First, I get up and go to class by 9:00 am.  9:00 am is also when access to the Internet is disabled.  So class has now started and the teacher is standing up in front going on until around 10:00 am.  That is when we have our first break for the day, which they consider a tea break.  This break lasts for about 20 minutes and then we return to class.  So we have more class, this whole time in front of a computer with no Internet, until around 12:15 pm.  It is now time for lunch, which lasts for 2 hours.  Yes you read that right, 2 hour lunch breaks.  Now we go back to class, “learn” more things, have one more break until 5:00-5:30 pm.

There it is, my class days in a nutshell.  Nothing fancy or exciting, quite boring actually.  Afterward, I go home and change, and get out of my room as soon as possible.  I found that staying out of my room makes the time go a lot faster.  I have managed to play a lot of basketball, ultimate frisbee, and volleyball.  I have already mentioned my high score bowling game and continue to go bowling quite a bit.  In fact last night I was only a few pins (8 to be exact) off of the days high score list.  I ended up with a 174 as a high that night.  However, that was my first game that I got a turkey (3 strikes in a row).

In other news, I go into Mysore quite a bit nowadays just to get away from campus.  We found this street in town that has all kinds of tailors, sun glasses stores, shoe stores, electronics (not much variety though), etc.  In fact I just ordered a suit tailored especially for me in the exact fabric that I wanted.  Grand total: USD $95.  Not too bad, hopefully the quality is pretty good when I pick it up on the 22nd.

Well, that is it for now, not too exciting I know, but this weekend should be fun, I’m taking a trip to Banglaore with two other guys from Drexel University and one of their fathers, who has been visiting here for about a week and a half.  It should be exciting, I’ll tell all about it when I get back.

Last Friday I went out again with some more people. We started by having dinner at a place called Les Olive Garden. Don’t confuse this with the Italian restaurant though, it is much different as everything is obviously Indian food. I didn’t wuss out this time, however, and I got the Tandoori chicken. Wow, it was a lot spicier than the Tandoori chicken I had at an Indian restaurant at Purdue. It was also spicier than any Mexican food that I’ve ever had as well, and I’ve had some spicy Mexican food.

After dinner we walked 400 meters to a place called “Planet X.” At first we thought it was just going to be what the Indians call a “Disc”, but it turned out to be much more. There were go-karts, putt-putt, bowling, billiards, food, and the dance club/bar. We didn’t have enough time for anything else besides the club, since we have a midnight curfew on the weekends, but I will hit up those go-karts eventually.

The club was small and loud. It had an Egyptian theme for some reason and was called Hookah. It, of course, had many hookahs scattered inside around the small dance floor. It is also fun to watch as around 50 men try to dance with the few (around 6) women that actually came along. All was fun though and everyone seemed to have a nice time. There was a Frenchman in attendance, however, who thought one of us Americans was checking out his girl and decided to headbutt my colleague. It turns out that the Frenchman was in town for some yoga conference.
